Northwell Health is seeking an Outreach Associate to assist with registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and billing duties supporting inpatient and outpatient access to medical services. The role focuses on engaging eligible patients, explaining program benefits, and supporting enrollment into Health Management programs.

The position emphasizes high-quality patient engagement, accurate eligibility screening, and timely documentation to support program growth and operational goals.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare outreach, patient engagement, customer service, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records or CRM platforms preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in pre-registration and registration duties; collect demographics and insurance information and enter data into computer system; obtain signatures on forms.
• Verify patient insurance coverage with third party carriers for scheduled appointments; obtain authorizations and document in systems; collect payments; may perform billing duties.
• Conduct outbound outreach to engage patients eligible for Health Management programs.
• Clearly explain program services, benefits, and expectations to patients and caregivers.
• Build rapport and trust with patients to encourage participation and sustained engagement.
• Schedule enrollment appointments or facilitate direct enrollment when appropriate.
• Address patient questions and provide support throughout the engagement process.
• Meet productivity and performance goals related to outreach volume, engagement rates, and enrollments.
