Job summary

Klamath Tribal Health, based in Oregon, seeks a Patient Registration Clerk to maintain accurate patient records and collect demographic and eligibility information for health care services. Qualifications

• Experience in medical front desk or registration is preferred.
• Strong data entry and clerical skills.
• Familiarity with eligibility and insurance concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for Medical Walk-In Clinic and check in patients for medical and dental visits.
• Maintain current and accurate patient demographics in the EHR system.
• Interview and screen patients for eligibility and document responses in the notes section.
• Explain eligibility requirements and applicable regulations to patients.
• Audit and maintain patient charts and ensure documents are properly filed.
• Assist with referrals and alternate resource information from Tribal Health departments.
• Back up the Patient Registration Manager and enter new patients into the system.
• Perform general clerical duties including scanning, photocopying and correspondence.
