Job summary

Care New England Health System in Rhode Island seeks a Data Analyst to support patient access operations by analyzing data, designing reports, and streamlining revenue cycle processes.

You will work with Cerner, Passport, and TeleTracking data, develop ad hoc reports, and train staff on data policies. The role requires an Associates degree and 5 years’ healthcare or business experience; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• Five years of healthcare or business environment experience required.
• Experience with spreadsheet applications and report-writing language; strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data with statistical methods, interpret results and provide summaries.
• Design and maintain databases for the purpose of data analysis.
• Extract, manipulate, format and present data from multiple systems to meet management timelines.
• Explore and display data to discover patterns, relationships, anomalies and trends.
• Enter data from source documents into computer systems.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies by contacting information sources.
• Create data flow, process diagrams and gap analyses.
• Generate reports based on data collection and collaborate with management on ad hoc reports.
• Develop and maintain department-specific shared intranet sites.
• Provide administrative support: coordinate schedules, meetings, attendance, communications and file management.
• Train staff on internal/external policies and procedures relevant to Patient Access.
• Ensure high performance, quality and achievement of goals within the department.
• Perform Cerner, Passport and Teletracking testing as required.
• Understand payor policies related to insurance coverage and patient liability.
