Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in New Jersey is seeking a Pre Service Representative to manage patient access, input demographic and insurance data, schedule appointments, and obtain prior authorizations.

You will preregister patients, confirm financial clearance, collect deposits, and ensure accurate billing information, while delivering friendly service to patients and families. Proficiency in MS Office and bilingual Spanish are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ work experience in customer service or related field.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices and coding.
• Proficient computer skills and MS Office experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Input service date, codes, demographics and insurance data into scheduling system.
• Schedule/booking of patient appointments and preregistration.
• Verify demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Obtain prior authorization when needed and pursue financial clearance.
• Collect deposits and explain billing and payment options.
• Follow protocols for scheduling and patient information collection.
