Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong data entry and basic insurance/payment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographic, billing, and insurance information and enter into systems; explain insurance and hospital procedures.
• May obtain pre-certification and authorizations.
• Prepare consent forms and obtain signatures for treatment and financial obligation.
• Collect deposits and payments; provide receipts and document in systems.
• Prepare patient armband and balance daily receipts.
• Follow up on account flags and maintain accurate records.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients per hospital workflow.
• Validate orders against scheduled services.
