Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in hospital or outpatient admitting setting.
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.
• 40 WPM typing/keyboard speed preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient intake for appropriate appointment scheduling and review prior visit history.
• Obtain initial patient demographics including referring/ordering physician and third party information.
• Collect insurance information, collect co-pays/deductibles/deposits, and provide out-of-pocket estimates.
• Ensure accurate and current patient data for medical records and billing; support scheduling and registration across departments.
