Job summary

Humana seeks a Front Office Healthcare Support professional to deliver a safe, accurate patient experience from pre-arrival through checkout. The Patient Access Coordinator will ensure data quality, revenue integrity, and a smooth flow of patients in the clinic on-site in Jackson, MS.

Responsibilities include pre-visit prep, digital intake, queue management, POS collections, checkout, and follow-ups. Strong communication and accuracy are essential to support Humana’s care model.

Responsibilities

• Review the schedule 24-48 hours in advance to identify missing documentation, expired authorizations, or insurance gaps.
• Facilitate patient check-in via digital tools, ensuring demographics and consents are completed.
• Monitor waiting room and EMR task queues; communicate delays to patients and staff.
• Discuss financial responsibility with patients and process payments with daily drawer reconciliation.
• Conduct checkout, schedule follow-ups, and manage outbound outreach for no-shows or preventive care appointments.
