Patient Access Coordinator (Finance)
Communication: Ensures excellent patient service, provides necessary appointment information, maintains confidentiality, answers calls politely, prepares patients for appointments, documents appropriately in EMR, and communicates effectively with providers and staff. Verifies insurance eligibility, collects co-payments, and answers billing inquiries.
Organizational Expectations: Maintains attendance, HIPAA compliance, effective communication, positive interpersonal relationships, and workplace safety.
Employee Engagement: Participates in service initiatives, attends staff meetings, completes annual education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must manage physical and mental demands, communicate effectively, and be familiar with computer systems.
