About the Role

As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will organize and coordinate activities in the patient access area to optimize team performance and improve patient services. Your responsibilities include assigning tasks, monitoring performance, training staff, managing schedules, and developing programs to improve appointment utilization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities and workflow in the patient access area.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and assist in training patient service representatives.
• Screen candidates, recommend hires, conduct performance reviews, and suggest corrective actions.
• Develop and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization, including reminders and follow-up on no-shows.
• Resolve operational issues and adjust schedules as needed.
• Reconcile day sheets and produce reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with two years of outpatient scheduling experience at Cleveland Clinic or similar, including patient and physician interaction, OR three years of related experience, OR an Associate Degree with one year of experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree.

Physical & PPE Requirements

• Frequent data entry, sitting, standing, walking; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Use of personal protective equipment as required.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $16.47 - $23.61. Actual compensation depends on experience, education, and other factors. Benefits include healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement.
