An established industry player is seeking Patient Access Coordinators to serve as the first point of contact for applicants seeking substance abuse services. In this pivotal role, you will utilize your customer service and sales skills to ensure callers receive the support they need, conducting assessments and verifying eligibility for programs. With a focus on one-call resolution, you will collaborate with various teams to facilitate a smooth transition into care. This position offers a dynamic work environment with the potential for remote work after successful training and performance evaluation.
Patient Access Coordinators (PAC) are the gateway to care for our applicants, aiming for one-call resolution. PACs answer calls live, conducting high-level assessments to determine clinical appropriateness for our facilities and verifying benefits. They collaborate with various organizational roles to resolve caller issues during the first call and to schedule clinical assessments when appropriate. Customer service and sales skills, along with the ability to multi-task, are essential.
This role requires up to six weeks of on-site training at either The Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA, or at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Center City, MN. Training hours are Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency before transitioning to remote work, which depends on ongoing performance measured by attendance, punctuality, job metrics, and call monitoring.
