Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an onsite contract-to-hire role in Anchorage, AK. You will greet patients, verify identity, collect demographics and insurance, and ensure accurate account setup to support billing readiness.

You will educate patients on financial responsibilities, obtain consents, and coordinate registration with clinical teams to maintain smooth patient flow within the facility. Epic knowledge and healthcare regulatory compliance are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Follow all federal, state, and organizational regulations including HIPAA, EMTALA, CMS standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols and proper use of PPE.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service throughout the registration process.

  • Preferred minimum of an Associate Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration

  • Preferred minimum experience of 3 years in Patient Access or Business office setting

  • Preferred minimum 1 year of knowledge of Epic applications


Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anchorage, AK.


Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.


Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
