Job summary

University of Utah Health South Jordan Health Center is seeking a patient-focused Guest Relations/Front Desk Specialist to welcome patients, assist with registration in Epic, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and coordinate basic scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors at check-in.
• Register patients in Epic, verify insurance, update demographics, secure signatures and process payments.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with doctors, radiology and labs.
• Answer and manage phone calls and voicemail messages efficiently.
• Reconcile cash drawers and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with self-registration (MyChart) and arrival processes and provide directions.
• Guide patients to correct areas and assist with forms and releases.
• Review and refine scheduling to optimize appointment accuracy.
