Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND is hiring a Communications Operator to support patients, staff, and the community by processing high volumes of calls across multiple facilities.

You will follow strict protocols, maintain system uptime, and provide empathetic assistance in routine and emergency situations. The role requires calm, focused performance in a fast-paced call center, with strong communication and attention to detail, while upholding the organization’s standards of service

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Reception and customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Windows.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to respond and perform effectively in emergency and stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume calls in accordance with telecommunications protocols and scripting.
• Maintain knowledge of paging protocols, call parking, and side-phone operations.
• Exercise tact and diplomacy when handling difficult callers or sensitive situations.
• Demonstrate composure during emergencies or equipment/network failures to ensure service continuity.
• Aim to optimize ACD/Ready time and minimize wrap time to meet service goals.
• Uphold the organization’s Journey Beyond Excellence standards.
