Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Patient Access Representative I to support patient registration and insurance-related tasks in Morristown, NJ. The role involves verifying patient information, collecting co-payments, and coordinating with payers to resolve claims.

Responsibilities include obtaining consents, reconciling daily financials, and ensuring HIPAA compliance across multiple patient settings. 24 hours per week with daytime shifts and alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-3 years of experience in Patient Access, Medical Office, Health Insurance or relevant area

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient information for registration.
• Solicit and confirm payment of financial dues from patient or guarantor.
• Coordinate with third-party payers to determine reasons for outstanding claims and facilitate payment.
• Obtain federally required and hospital-related consents in a timely manner.
• Reconcile daily bank bags and post dues or data in the financial system.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and operate across various patient settings and locations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
