Job summary

Atlantic Health’s Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ seeks a Patient Access Representative I to handle patient registration and related insurance tasks. You will verify patient information, collect co-pays, and liaise with payers to facilitate timely payments.

The role supports HIPAA compliance and requires strong customer service and data accuracy in a busy hospital setting. Schedule includes every other weekend and a day shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact within our health system, assisting patients and families.
• Verify and collect patient information for registration and services.
• Communicate patient financial responsibility clearly and accurately.
• Coordinate with third-party payers and collect co-pays when applicable.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
