Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to support patient-facing registration and related tasks. The role involves information collection, verification, and coordination with insurance for claim processing, while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The position operates evenings (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM) and requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with patients, providers and payers across departments.

Qualifications

• Register patients and collect/validate information.
• Work with payers to verify and collect payments.
• Comply with HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Liaise between patients, providers, payers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient information for registration.
• Maintain contact with third-party payers to determine reasons for outstanding claims and facilitate payment.
• Request payment of financial dues from patient or guarantor.
• Obtain required consents in a timely manner.
• Reconcile daily bank bags and post dues in the system.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance across patient settings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
