Job summary

Great Bend Hospital is seeking a Patient Registration Clerk to perform inpatient and outpatient registrations, verify patient identification, demographics and insurance details, and handle POS collections with a focus on customer service.

The role requires accurate data entry, knowledge of patient records, and adherence to hospital policies. Full-time day shifts with clinical and administrative duties across the admitting department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Clerical/registration and/or customer service experience within a health care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of coding information (ICD-9 Codes, Rev Codes, CPT Codes) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register inpatient and outpatient encounters with accurate demographic, identification and insurance information.
• Collect co-payments or deposits as required for services rendered.
• Balance cash drawer as part of end-of-day procedures.
• Explain facility policies and obtain signed insurance forms and consent documents.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the computer system and assist with general duties as assigned.
