Job summary

You will use the EHR to route messages, schedule appointments, triage urgent calls with nursing staff, and support patients and staff in a collaborative, respectful environment. The role requires a high school diploma, experience in healthcare or call settings, and strong computer skills, including HIPAA

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in clinic, healthcare setting, or call setting preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls and responds to messages meeting timeliness goals.
• Identify patient needs by asking clarifying questions and escalate when needed.
• Navigate EHR to route calls and messages to appropriate staff.
• Schedule appointments accurately in the EHR and follow scheduling guidelines.
• Identify emergent and urgent calls and transfer to nursing staff or internal EHR staff for triage.
• Serve as a resource for patients and staff to meet patient needs.
• Contact patients to schedule follow-up appointments and inform about campaigns for quality measures.
• Communicate necessary information to assist with registration.
• Conduct reminder appointment calls and adjust as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
