Job summary

Valley Health System (New Jersey) seeks an Access Navigator to serve as the primary contact in a high-volume call center, scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals for patients and families. You will facilitate access to services across VMG and The Valley Hospital, acting as a liaison to ensure continuity of care with empathy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has healthcare experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; if no degree, 1 year as a BA in a VMG specialty office or 3 years Valley scheduling experience.
• Healthcare experience, including medical terminology and managed care, call center experience and 2-3 years of customer service strongly preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with diverse populations including patients, families and health care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals.
• Facilitate access to services within VMG and The Valley Hospital.
• Serve as liaison between referring providers, patients, and specialists to support continuity of care.
• Convert calls into scheduled appointments and drive service utilization.
