Job summary

Variety Care Inc. seeks a Patient Access Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients across clinics in Oklahoma City.

You will schedule appointments, assist patients in person or by phone, and navigate EPIC scheduling workflows while ensuring HIPAA compliance and compassionate service. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, strong communication, and ability to mult task in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in customer service, in person or by phone.
• Experience with EPIC (EMR) scheduling.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient based on needs and provides assistance.
• Provides friendly telephone service and handles calls.
• Manages inbound calls as first contact with a professional demeanor.
• Meets or exceeds performance measures.
• Uses EPIC scheduling and documents in the EMR.
• Screens patients for acuity using screening tools.
• Attends trainings and ensures continuous quality improvement.
• Obtains accurate patient information.
• Follows HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Handles patient/specialty complaints with escalation to manager.
