Health First is seeking a Patient Service Specialist in Patient Relations to uphold our Mission and financial integrity by delivering compliant, customer-focused service across the revenue cycle and ensuring accurate documentation and timely authorizations. This per diem position bases at Viera Hospital with required travel to all four facilities and Rockledge ED as needed.

PR responsibilities include Medicare ABN guidance, eligibility checks, co-pay calculation, and staff training support.

Formación

• This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• CPR certification (AHA HeartSaver CPR AED) before start date and maintained.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare charts for scheduled patients, obtain authorizations, verify medical necessity and place accurate service orders.
• Register patients with two identifiers, confirm armband accuracy, input demographics, and secure forms for compliance.
• Perform Medicare compliance review and identify ABN requirements and issues.
• Complete MSPQ for Medicare beneficiaries and verify insurance eligibility prior to service.
• Calculate patient co-pays and provide estimates based on insurance coverage.
