Job summary

610 Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in High Point, NC seeks a Patient Services Representative III responsible for patient pre-registration, insurance verification, and coordinating admissions across multiple clinics. This role requires handling high-volume patient interactions, accurate data entry, and adherence to billing procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma with 3 years in customer service, familiarity with EPIC Cadence, and strong communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of customer service experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with high call or walk-in volume preferred.
• EPIC Cadence experience preferred and knowledge of reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients in person or by phone to collect information for hospital records and billing.
• Pre-register patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certifications as needed.
• Process referrals and perform clerical tasks (phone, messages, chart processing, faxing, scanning).
• Assist with deposits and payment arrangements and screen patients for financial assistance programs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold department policies on eligibility and authorization.
• Support escalation handling and mentor teammates as needed.
