Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED, CPR and de-escalation certification.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in a business-related field.
• Experience in behavioral health billing or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance payor rules and regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance information for accuracy and resolves discrepancies.
• Collects co-pay, deductible and out-of-pocket expenses at admission.
• Updates and maintains Front end log and insurance eligibility checks.
• Assists patients with financial assistance applications and inquiries.
• Obtains necessary signatures and communicates billing policies to patients.
