Job summary

BayMark Health Services is hiring a Full Time Patient Access Representative / Patient Account Representative at MedMark Treatment Center in Illinois. You will perform billing verification, maintain third-party billing records, and resolve a range of payer issues to support timely payments.

The role requires 2+ years in a medical office, familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance, strong customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ prior experience in a medical office setting.
• 2–4 years’ experience with Medicaid and PAC and commercial insurance (preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills and professional public presentation skills, including telephone etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures, documentation and records maintenance.
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures, gather and compile data into reports.
• Proficient in basic PC skills. Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, maintain, and process fiscal/account records and transactions related to patients’ accounts.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information; annotate accounts with coverage and patient shares.
• Contact third party payers for payment post billing and resolve payment/billing issues.
• Reconcile daily money collected and forward information to expedite payment.
• Maintain accurate accounts with signatures, demographics, and correspondence.
• Monitor authorizations and claim rejections; ensure completion of pre-authorization process.
