Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Representative / Patient Account Representative to handle billing, insurance verification, and account maintenance in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires 2+ years in medical billing with Medicare/Medicaid knowledge, strong customer service, and data-entry proficiency. Opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ prior experience in a medical office setting.
• 2-4 years’ experience with Medicaid and PAC and commercial insurance (preferred)
• Excellent customer service and professional presentation, including telephone etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and billing processes.
• Strong data entry and reporting skills; proficient PC skills (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Review, maintain, and process patient account records and transactions.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information; annotate accounts.
• Contact third party payers for payment posting and follow-ups.
• Resolve payment and billing issues; monitor claim rejections.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist with archiving discharged files.
• Back-up receptionist duties as needed.
