Cape Fear Valley Neurology - Lillington is seeking a motivated medical office clerk to support daily operations in Dunn, NC. You will register patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and enter ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes for billing and records.

The role requires strong English communication, basic PC skills, and accuracy in transcription and processing of non-medical dictation, with attention to patient relations and office workflow.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of clerical experience required.
• 1 year of medical business office or significant public contact preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding for Part B billables preferred.
• Typing 45-55 words per minute accurately.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Good planning and organizational abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients expediently while obtaining accurate information.
• Schedule patient appointments for initial and follow-up visits and procedures.
• Receive calls regarding appointments and determine provider, length, and type.
• Collect monies from patients; document receipts; prepare cash report.
• Enter ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding into data processing system daily.
• Submit billing invoices to billing/collection daily, under supervision.
• File, fax and/or mail reports and records; compile month-end reports.
• Assist in tracking supply inventory and order as needed.
• Serve as receptionist and manage patient interactions courteously.
