Job summary

• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and interview to collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Input data into computer and obtain signatures on consents; create face sheets, armbands, labels and documents.
• Explain hospital billing and payment processes; assist patients in understanding charges and collection options.
• Collect and verify insurance cards; obtain necessary signatures on consent forms for treatment.
• Coordinate with nursing and ancillary departments for room assignment, transports and bed placement.
• Provide receptionist duties, answer phones, and support PBX during coverage times.
