Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Patient Access Advocate II to support front office operations and serve as the expert liaison for patient and clinic relations. You will build on customer service and medical tech skills, focusing on registration, insurance verification, and referral management.

In this role, you will orient new hires, maintain accurate records, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, and ensure compliance with the No Surprise Act.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clerical experience in a medical setting.
• Proficient in EPIC Cadence/Prelude.
• Strong customer service skills in healthcare.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through the registration process and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Handle co-pays, payments, and daily deposits.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals and pre-certifications.
• Provide Steps of Service and deescalate when needed.
• Train new employees on general clerical tasks.
• Mails new patient packets and follows up on no-shows.
