Qualifications

• Requirements: High School diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in healthcare, insurance-related or comparable level.
• Must have demonstrated strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to follow instructions; work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Must have basic PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, typing 30 wpm.
• Articulate and concise oral communication and the ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a culturally diverse staff and patient/family population.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability onsite in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and patient identification, check-in, and registering patients.
• Coordinate escort upon arrival for services and gather demographic/financial information.
• Enter data quickly and accurately into the computer system.
• Cash collection and posting as appropriate.
• Provide superior customer service and maintain professionalism.
• Utilize hospital information systems to communicate with patients and visitors.
