Job summary

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and completely

• Enter correct third party data using insurance information
• Obtain information for forms and explain hospital policies
• Assist with bed/room assignments and routing to departments
• Access Hospital Information System (HIS) and balance cash drawer
• Complete required department and hospital training

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Post-high school training substituted (30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours or 720 classroom hours) for required year of experience
