Responsibilities

• Care Access Associate serves as the primary clerical role in the practice and calls patients to remind or reschedule appointments and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Prepare charts and encounter tickets for scheduled clinics.
• Greets patients and documents patient interactions in the medical record.
• Verifies insurance information and checks eligibility and authorization as needed.
• Checks patients in and out, explains charges and collects co-pays or balances.
• Ensures accurate CPT and ICD-10 coding on encounters and posts charges in the billing system.
