Job summary

The Providence Revenue Cycle team in the United States seeks a Patient Admissions Coordinator to support on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits. You will collect demographic and insurance information and ensure patient liability is identified at the time of service.

Under the PAS supervisor, you will handle financial clearance for assigned accounts, greet patients professionally, and document information accurately in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• Three (3) years experience within Patient Access of Business office setting.
• Three (3) years utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
• One (1) year knowledge of Epic Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits.

Under the direction of the PAS supervisor/manager, the Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts. The Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters. All information is gathered while adhering to regulation and compliance requirements and guidelines and is documented timely and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
