Job summary

Ithaca College is seeking a Pathways student employee to support Pathways students as they explore potential majors and minors and build community during their first two years. You will work with directors, PALs, and staff to plan, staff, and set up events across the semester.

Applicants should be confident in knowledge of the H&S Pathways Program as well as in communication and organizational skills. This student role involves coordinating meetings, planning events, and promoting programs on

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with Pathways students and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the H&S Exploratory Pathways Program and related services.

Responsibilities

• Attending weekly meetings with directors and other staff
• Holding monthly meetings to keep PALs up-to-date on program changes and updates
• Planning and assisting with events throughout the semester
• Communicating with directors and administrative assistants about needed resources and supplies
• Designing flyers/ promoting the program and events on social media
• Informing PALs of regular and special meetings
• Recruiting PALs to volunteer for events
• Advertising events on campus
• Coaching Pathways students on registration before and throughout the registration period (fall and spring semester)
• Maintain Pathways social media sites and regularly post to help build community and awareness of events and services
