Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Minneapolis Central is seeking a Social Services Coordinator to deliver direct assistance and comprehensive case management for Pathway of Hope participants, promoting services within the community. The role emphasizes integrity, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills in a program addressing intergenerational poverty.

Responsibilities include coordinating services, maintaining accurate participant records, and facilitating educational activities

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered.
• If degree is in social work, must be licensed by state board.
• Previous social services experience required.
• Must pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements preferred.
• Flexible interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of honor in dealing with confidential information.
• Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office, databases, and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide participants with direct assistance (e.g., foodshelf, Heatshare, vouchers).
• Conduct long-term strength-based, person-centered, holistic case management to POH participants.
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate participant information in casefiles and through database entry.
• Facilitate individual and group educational activities.
• Assist with seasonal and special events.
• Recruit qualifying participants for POH and promote social services and corps programs with participants and throughout the community.
• Engage in internal activities to promote and further POH goals and objectives.
