Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or 60 semester hours with required science coursework as verified by QA Manager or Director.
• CAP education requirements must be met; may include tissue gross examination or dissection.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and specimen descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Performs tissue gross examination or dissection per CAP and site competencies.
• Maintains accurate specimen identification throughout the laboratory process.
• Accessioning and error resolution in accessioning and billing processes.
• Develops and revises laboratory procedures and may train others in assigned skills.
• Other duties as assigned by the site.
