Job summary

ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Processing Specialist Trainee. This part-time, on-site role supports specimen handling, accessioning and data entry within the AP Processing department.

You will work a 20-hour week schedule, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM with additional training shifts, contributing to quality control and collaboration with care teams. training includes learning LIS functions, safety procedures and departmental workflows to ensure timely pathology

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in specimen processing and/or pathology.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Courses in anatomy, physiology and familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Receives, accession and process specimens in the pathology lab.
• Manages LIS data entry and resolves issues with specimens and orders.
• Communicates with patient care teams and maintains quality control documentation.
• Maintains safe, clean work area and adheres to safety policies.
