Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City seeks a Residency/Fellowship Coordinator for the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine program. The role supports the Program Director, GME Office, and faculty to ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional policies and to manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and educational activities.

The coordinator will manage accreditation planning, program evaluations, interviews, onboarding, rotations, evaluations, conferences, and budgets,

Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience. Education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Preferred: Five (5) years in an academic setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and residency programs.
  • Experience with ERAS, ACGME, MedHub, C-TAGME, Workday and Qgenda.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare the annual Program Evaluation and Clinical Competency Committee meetings, schedule materials, report actions, and record minutes.
  • Ensure required reports are submitted to the GME and ACGME by deadlines.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities and interview logistics for applicants.
  • Oversee onboarding, licensing, certifications, workspace setup, and document submission.
  • Create and adjust rotation schedules to meet curriculum requirements and GMEC approvals.
  • Coordinate evaluations and facilitate semi-annual reviews and reporting to program leadership.
  • Assist with conferences and weekly Grand Rounds, including logistics and sign-in.
  • Support program budget management, reimbursements, travel, and purchasing requests.
  • Maintain resident training files and compliance records and prepare reports for RRC.
