Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee on-site pathology lab operations, ensuring accurate specimen handling, test performance, quality, and compliance across the Rapid Response/Satellite location. You will supervise daily activities and align with MetroHealth policies and standards to deliver reliable patient results.

Required qualifications include a BS in lab science and ASCP-registered MT/MLS with 5 years bench experience, strong communication and computer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology and 5 years of laboratory bench experience.
• Registered Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent registration.
• Must be able to perform moderate complexity testing competency assessments according to CLIA -42CFR493.1413.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct on-site analysis of day-to-day operation including adjustment of specimen workflow, test performance, quality, compliance, and associated documentation to adhere to applicable regulatory agencies, MetroHealth and Pathology policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation and supervision of the assigned Rapid Response/Satellite location of the Pathology Laboratories.
