Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology and 5 years of laboratory bench experience.
• Registered Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent registration.
• Must be able to perform moderate complexity testing competency assessments according to CLIA -42CFR493.1413.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct on-site analysis of day-to-day operation including adjustment of specimen workflow, test performance, quality, compliance, and associated documentation to adhere to applicable regulatory agencies, MetroHealth and Pathology policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation and supervision of the assigned Rapid Response/Satellite location of the Pathology Laboratories.

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: M-F - first shift - 8a - 5p with additional hrs as needed

Registered Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent registration. Needs to be able to perform moderate complexity testing competency assessments in accordance with CLIA -42CFR493.1413. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred: Supervisory experience. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
