Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate of Science preferred.
• One year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Good communication, data entry and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with answering calls and daily administrative duties.
• Accessioning and labeling tissue samples; prepare reagents for processing.
• Perform routine H&E staining manually or automatically.
• Distribute slides to pathologists; file blocks and slides; filing paperwork.
• Discard specimen containers; perform cover slipping of stained slides.
• Maintain clean, organized work area; handle lab equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations; follow safety standards.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance.
