Johns Hopkins Medicine in Columbia, MD seeks an experienced Laboratory Administration Leader to oversee multiple clinical laboratories. This full-time role reports to the Division Director and the Department of Pathology Administrator and provides leadership to a large supervisory staff.

Develop departmental goals, ensure regulatory compliance, evaluate equipment and informatics, and liaise with physicians.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of comprehensive laboratory experience across the department.
• Leadership experience preferred; ability to set and achieve departmental goals.
• High level of analytical ability to resolve technical, operational, and administrative problems.
• Certification in Medical Technology MT(ASCP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Division Director and the Department of Pathology Administrator.
• Manages multiple clinical laboratories and provides leadership to a large supervisory staff.
• Develops departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Monitors adherence to hospital and departmental policies/procedures.
• Acts as liaison for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Participates in evaluation of new laboratory equipment and informatics technology.
• Maintains records to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Performs other related administrative and professional duties as assigned.
