Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Grossing Technologist to join our team in Dallas, TX. The position operates on a PRN 3rd shift schedule within a high-volume clinical laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology and demonstrates strong computer skills and proficiency with laboratory information systems. Excellent communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• Experience in a high volume clinical laboratory environment.
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete dissection, gross description, selection and submission of tissue for microscopic examination and special studies following departmental guidelines.
• Follow the laboratory’s procedure for specimen handling and processing.
• Adhere to quality control policies and procedures.
• Assist other areas rotations within the department with assigned tasks.
• Maintain a professional environment and ensure safety practices.
