Job summary

Caris Life Sciences in Phoenix seeks a Pathologist Associate to support the Pathology and Pathology Operations teams in daily lab tasks, including macrodissection and microdissection. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Or a Bachelor of Science with specified science course requirements and ABHES/CAAHEP clinical training or equivalent.
• Clinical laboratory training program approved or ABHES/CAAHEP accreditation is required or 3+ months documented training in each high complexity testing specialty.

Responsibilities

• Has a good understanding and working knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Log appropriate information into the LIS and other logs as necessary.
• Assist with tasks to support Pathology and Pathologist Assistant departments.
• Demonstrates ability to collect marked areas for molecular analysis using microdissection and macrodissection.
• Maintains a clean workstation and adheres to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Performs Quality Control and Quality Assurance tests as required.
• Maintains documentation and logs; reports concerns to supervisor.
