Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology with relevant certifications.
• OR Medical Doctor (foreign trained acceptable).
• OR BS with 60 semester hours including chemistry/biology and 12 hours in medical lab tech
• ABHES/CAAHEP clinical training completion or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist pathology operations supervisor in day-to-day pathology/microdissection tasks.
• Read pathology reports to determine primary site of specimens.
• Identify tumor areas on stained slides and mark for molecular analysis.
• Ensure accurate testing orders and maintain clean workstation.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Perform quality control/assurance and document relevant logs.
