The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ASCP certification (with ongoing maintenance every three years), and CAP competency examinations. Duties include processing specimens and assisting with autopsies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• ASCP certification and ongoing maintenance required every three years.
• Annual CAP competency examination is required.

Responsibilities

• Includes receiving, dissection and dictating surgical specimens.
• Expand knowledge of disease processes to handle increasing specimen complexity.
• Ensure quality, consistency and efficiency of specimens for timely results.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
