Labcorp seeks a Histology Professional for Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. Per Diem / As Needed schedule, responsibilities include processing tissue and body fluids, preparing histology slides, sectioning tissue, and performing immunohistochemistry with strict quality control.

Minimum: Bachelor’s in a chemical/biological science. Preferred: Histology/ASCP certifications and 1+ year in histology and high-volume lab settings.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• Preferred: Histology and/or ASCP certifications.
• 1+ year of histology experience.
• 1+ year of Immunohistochemistry experience.
• 1+ year in a high-volume laboratory environment.

Responsabilidades

• Process tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination.
• Produce histopathology slides from surgical specimens.
• Section embedded tissue using a microtome and mount on slides.
• Perform immunohistochemical tests on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue.
• Follow staining procedures and QC across slides.
• Maintain instrument readiness and document maintenance and logs.
