Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Pathologists’ Assistant to support anatomic pathology services under the supervision of a pathologist. The role focuses on gross examination of surgical pathology specimens and collaboration with pathologists to ensure accurate case workups.

This position requires a BS in biological or allied health science, completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program, and current ASCP Certification. US-based applicants preferred; PRN/part-time shifts available.

Qualifications

• BS in biological or allied health science.
• Graduation from a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program.
• Two years’ experience.
• Current ASCP Certification.
