Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree from a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program (or equivalent) required.
• AAPA Certified Pathologists' Assistant and NYS PA license required upon hire.
• ASCP certification preferred; strong laboratory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to adhere to CAP/AJCC protocols and maintain accuracy in gross description.

Responsibilities

• Performs macroscopic evaluation and dissection of surgical specimens.
• Prepares gross descriptions and selects tissue for histology.
• Collaborates with pathologists during dissections and intraoperative consultations.
• Maintains documentation, training, and compliance with regulatory standards.
