Job summary

Emory Healthcare seeks a Pathologist's Assistant II for a part‑time role, Saturdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The position involves grossing, selecting tissue samples, and assisting in post‑mortem examinations under supervision.

Minimum requirements include a NAACLS‑accredited PA program and ASCP certification; one year of hands‑on experience is desirable. Onsite duties with opportunities for mentorship and growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: NAACLS‑accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program required.
• Experience: 1 year examining surgical, forensic, and autopsy‑derived specimens under supervision.
• Certification: ASCP BOC certification required and renewed every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform grossing, describe and dissect specimens from surgeries and autopsies.
• Prepare tissue blocks/sections and submit for histology processing.
• Perform frozen sections for rapid diagnosis and photograph specimens.
