Emory Healthcare is seeking a certified Histotechnologist II to support Emory Decatur Hospital’s Anatomical Pathology division. This part-time role covers 5am–1:30pm on weekends with an hourly wage starting at $33.96. ASCP certification is required; 2+ years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ASCP certification required (HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP)) within 18 months of employment.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) credential.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine or complex histologic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Embeds and sections specimens using a microtome; stains, coverslips and labels slides.
• Maintains control blocks/slides and prepares fixatives and staining solutions.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments; participates in quality control and safety practices.
• Assists with inventories, policies, and professional development.
